“全球院长展望未来”系列对话活动是全球教育学院院长论坛（GEDF）在常规院长论坛之外创建的新型对话平台：
– 旨在通过联盟成员高校间建立院长与联盟学院师生的轮流交流机制，增进GEDF院校之间的师生互动，促进全球青年学者代表与领导者的跨校跨区域沟通，发挥GEDF平台的独特作用
– 推动全球教育学院领导者与研究者共同探讨教育在当今社会的新价值和新使命，在共通性的教育问题上达成共识，对全球教育政策和实践发挥积极作用。

Camilla P. Benbow
范德堡大学教育与人类发展学院院长
Benbow院长在约翰·霍普金斯大学获得教育学博士学位，并自1998年以来一直担任范德堡大学教育与人类发展学院院长。Benbow教授是人才识别和开发等方面研究领域的学者，是100多篇文章和39本书章节的作者和合著。她是数学资优青少年研究（SMPY）的联合负责人，该项目是针对5,000名天才个体开展的纵向研究，至今已持续50年。 Benbow院长荣获世界资优儿童理事会颁发的国际研究奖（2019年）、国际智力研究学会的终身成就奖（2018年）和美国教师教育学院协会的大卫·伊米格奖（2010年）。

Vanderbilt Peabody College Dean Camilla P. Benbow will address one of the biggest challenges facing education schools today: identifying and responding to the changing literacies demanded by rapid technological innovation and the social changes it fosters. To “dance with AI,” education schools must quickly catch up and develop mastery over new tools to harness their potential in higher education and P-12 classrooms. Data science, climate science, and the social sciences are further areas of knowledge that practitioners must comprehend to address technological change, economic inequality, and social anxiety in their students if they are to prepare them for citizenship and success. Failure to educate individuals in critical new skills leaves them exposed to harmful beliefs, ideologies, and conspiracy thinking. Dean Benbow will highlight the need for educators and schools to adapt and embrace new knowledge to personalize learning and better meet the needs and potentials of individuals. She will highlight several Peabody strategic initiatives in early childhood development and policy, the teaching of history and social studies, and new certificates in emerging areas such as learning analytics, educational technologies and AI, and early childhood policy. Overall, the talk aims to shed light on the importance of embracing new literacies, incorporating technology responsibly, and preparing educators for the changing landscape of education.
