An eight-member delegation of faculty and students from the ECNU Faculty of Education traveled to the United States for an academic week themed "Artificial Intelligence Technology and Education" from May 24 to 31, 2026.The event was organized by the Institute of International and Comparative Education under the Faculty of Education, ECNU.
The delegation was led by Professor Peng Zhengmei, Director of the Institute of International and Comparative Education and the Center for Deweyan Educational Thought, with Associate Professor Chen Hongyan (Deputy Director of the Institute), Associate Professor Zheng Jie (Deputy Director of the Institute of Vocational and Adult Education), and Associate Professor Bai Xueyuan (Director of the General Office of the Faculty of Education) also on the team.
The delegation paid successive visits to the New York Headquarters of the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF), the China Institute in America, Teachers College, Columbia University, and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).The program featured special lectures, academic dialogues, and on-site visits, through which they engaged in in-depth discussions with scholars and frontline educators on cutting-edge topics,including educational transformation and innovation in the AI era, global education governance, teacher education, and global citizenship education.
Throughout these visits, faculty and students delivered academic presentations, fully demonstrating their solid academic expertise and outstanding cross-cultural communication skills.
