To deepen the internationalization strategy of the Faculty of Education, strengthen exchanges and cooperation with leading Korean universities and lifelong education research institutions, and foster cross-cultural dialogue and academic collaboration in the field of lifelong education, a delegation of 16 faculty members and students from the Faculty of Education visited the Republic of Korea from April 26 to 30, 2026, for an academic exchange event themed on lifelong education.
The event was organized by the Shanghai Institute for Lifelong Education. Under the theme "Development and Future Orientation of Lifelong Education Systems," the delegation visited Seoul National University, the Seoul Metropolitan Institute for Lifelong Education, Seoul Citizens University, the Lifelong Learning Center of Gwangmyeong City, the Gyeonggi Provincial Institute for Lifelong Education, Kongju National University, and several lifelong education institutions in Gongju City.
Through activities including cooperation agreement signings, thematic seminars, academic presentations, and on-site visits, the delegation gained in-depth insights into the development of lifelong education systems in Korea, the advancement of learning cities, university-community collaborative education, and the practices of lifelong learning for all citizens.
