2025 International Academic Week⑤| Mutual Learning and Shared Growth——Canadian International Academic Week Successfully Concluded

To enhance deep-level and multi-faceted collaboration with world-leading universities, innovate exchange models, and support the cultivation of outstanding talent in the field of Education, the East China Normal University(ECNU)Faculty of Education has been consistently deepening and advancing its International Academic Week program.

In 2025, the Faculty will organize a series of International Academic Weeks with several globally renowned institutions, including Columbia University (USA), the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge (UK), Korea University (South Korea), the University of British Columbia and the University of Victoria (Canada), Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon (France), the University of Lisbon (Portugal), and the Universidad de Vic-Universidad Central de Catalunya (Spain).These initiatives aim to promote substantive academic exchange and collaboration.


From November 13 to 22, 2025,the International Academic Week co-organized by the ECNU Faculty of Education and Canadian partner universities was successfully held across three institutions: the University of British Columbia, the University of Alberta, and the University of Victoria. Centered on the theme “Research on Adolescents' Social and Emotional Competence,” the event engaged fourteen faculty members and students from various departments of the Faculty through diverse formats, including joint seminars, keynote lectures, academic forums, campus tours, and cultural exchanges. The program provided fresh momentum for advancing the Faculty's international cooperation and academic innovation.


This Academic Week not only contributed significantly to the academic growth of the participating teachers and students but alsoreceived widespread acclaim from the partner institutions. All three Canadian universities expressedstrong appreciation for the delegation’s solid academic foundation,open and collaborative spirit, and outstanding organizational capabilities.
